Chessington South
Chessington South station has interesting 1930s styling and is in good condition. While there are no staff at the station, there are usually two train members present when the train is in. The station doesn’t have toilets or a ticket office, but this isn’t seen as a major issue. This basic train station is served by Southwestern trains and lacks ticket barriers and staff. There is disabled access through a side entrance to the platform. Outside the station, there is a pizza restaurant and newsagents shop along with a local bus stop. It’s unique to see an abandoned platform on one side of the tracks that go nowhere. ♿️ Step-free access at Chessington South looks fairly new and is appreciated by visitors. ✨ Overall, this pleasant and clean station feels safe even though it’s unstaffed.
