Hackney Central

Hackney Central station may not be the most glamorous, but it is step-free and conveniently located. There are two entrances to the station – one on Amhurst Road for trains heading to Stratford, and another on Graham Road for westbound trains. The lack of shelter on both platforms means you might get wet if it’s raining, so huddling under the bridge is your best bet. ☔️ Interestingly, the old station building has been turned into a bar, restaurant, and nightclub! The “main” entrance now feels like a mildly creepy alleyway but doesn’t seem to bother anyone. Another positive aspect is that Hackney Central connects two Overground lines and there’s a direct walkway linking it with Hackney Wick in just 2-3 minutes.
