St Mary Cray

St. Mary Cray railway station is known for being a stop for the famous steam locomotive, “The Flying Scotsman,” but it has never actually passed through there in its illustrious history. The Flying Scotsman has traveled to various places around the world, including San Francisco, Chicago, New York City, and Australia. ️ On March 17th, 2022, the excursion run of The Flying Scotsman was diverted via Croydon and Redhill instead of passing through St. Mary Cray Station as originally planned. The reviewer spent 2.5 hours at the station from 7 am to 9:30 am and enjoyed watching Electric Multiple Units (EMUs) operated by Network South Eastern, Southern, and Thameslink on all four platforms. Apart from the EMUs, there was only one freight train that passed by platform 1 during this time—a class 66
