Vaughan Williams Memorial Library
Cecil Sharp House is a hall near Camden High Street. It is mainly used by the English Folk Dance & Song Society. They hold all sorts of dancing events and performances. The inside and outside of the venue are nothing special, resembling a school hall. It has benches and lockers, which contribute to the school hall vibe but also lacks that downstairs bar characteristic of schools. The Ceilidh dancing lasts for three hours and costs around £8 per person, making it as enjoyable as going to the cinema but more fun. Despite slipping over or not being able to keep up with experienced dancers, there are many beginners in attendance, creating an inclusive atmosphere. The crowd is surprisingly young. ✔️ There’s a bar available at the venue.
